Military Policing Annual Discipline Conference (MPADC)

Since the NATO MP COE’s appointment to the Department Head (DH) role for the Military Policing discipline in 2015, it has become one of the key elements of the Centre’s activity. Therefore, we are pleased to announce convening of the first Military Policing Annual Discipline Conference. The event takes place in Bydgoszcz on 29-30 NOVEMBER 2016.

The aim of the MPADC, which will be held under the guidance of Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation / Joint Force Trainer (HQ SACT JFT), is to review and update the NATO Education and Individual Training (E&IT) requirements in the Military Policing discipline and to validate or revise E&T solutions.


Audience
• Education and training institutions providing MP and police-related training for NATO;
• Military Police and Gendarmerie Community of Interest and SMEs;
• Military Policing Requirement Authority and HQ SACT JFT representatives;
• National and international organizations.

Objectives

• To review the Training Requirements Analysis (TRA) i.e. provide a summary of the Military Policing E&IT requirements, and to develop the environment of Military Policing E&IT training opportunities (e.g. programmes, courses, forums) currently available in NATO and NATO nations;
• To inform about the functional relations among Military Policing training institutions, HQ SACT JFT, Requirement Authority (RA) and Department Head (DH), as well as to discuss options to synchronize efforts, save resources and coordinate processes, such as the Quality Assurance and Accreditation;
• To provide a forum for the MP Community of Interest to express and identify individual and collective training requirements in the NATO and non-NATO environment;
• To brief and update the participants on the most important developments and ongoing topics related to Military Policing E&IT, as well as to discuss the developments in collective training;
• Upon review of the TRA, to establish working groups as required to initiate the analysis phase of the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), which is to facilitate the development of new E&T opportunities for identified E&T gaps;
• To provide a forum in order to coordinate the Military Policing instructor/SME support to Military Policing training activities and exercises;
• Training institutions and HQs are invited to discuss required training and seat availability.
Expected outcome
To issue the 2017 Military Policing Discipline Alignment Plan.
