NATO Military Police Senior Officer Course 2017

Start 08 May 2017 08:00
End 12 May 2017 16:00
From 08 till 12 May 2017 the NATO Military Police Centre of Excellence (NATO MP COE) organized the second edition of the NATO Military Police Senior Officer Course (MP SrOC17). The main goal of that NATO MP COE flag training event was to support the preparation of the MP senior officers to work in a complex international environment, focusing mainly on the NATO MP perspective.
on May 2017
All topics for the course were adjusted accordingly to the identified needs of MP senior officers, so that they contribute significantly to the fulfilment of professional duties, responsibilities, as well as they respond to challenges in a multinational environment. The evaluation process of the course portrayed that participants highly ranked the Media Training, as well as the lectures delivered on Cross-Cultural Awareness, Leadership and the MP Role within NATO and other Multinational Environments.
The MP SrOC17 Officer of Primary Responsibility (OPR) MAJ Aleksandra MIELNIK composed the agenda of the broad list of training activities for students. For the first time the course was based on the Arnland scenario with specifically dedicated case study implemented during the planning block (lectures and syndicate work). The media training, which was conducted for the second time, was linked to the above-mentioned scenario as well and a number of typical MP-related vignettes enriched assumptions made for that part of the practical task.
To make the event more attractive to the target audience, OPR offered the lesson to be chosen to meet the students’ specific expectations. The debate of SP and MP with the panellist from NATO MP COE and NATO SP COE, supported by Provost Marshal ACO Shape was also introduced as the new element of the course.
The excellent organization and atmosphere of the course allowed students to exchange experience among them and lecturers, as well as to point out directions for further development and self-improvement. The subsequent edition of the MP SrOC will be conducted next year on 23rd – 27th April 2018. The registration for that training event will be opened three months prior to the course.
