The NATO Military Police Centre of Excellence celebrates the 5th Anniversary of its establishment.

On 28 May 2019, the NATO MP COE, at present one of the twenty-five accredited COEs across Europe and the USA, celebrated the 5th anniversary of its functioning. The celebration event gathered over two hundred distinguished guests who represented the national top official military authorities, including MP chiefs, commanders and provost marshals coming from all over Europe and North America. Moreover, the municipal authorities graced the multinational military environment with their presence underscoring the relevance of participation of the international military staff in the city of Bydgoszcz that calls itself the capital city of NATO in Poland.

The NATO MP COE’s Director, Colonel Mirosław ŁABĘCKI cordially welcomed the guests who constituted significant partners having fruitfully co-operated with the Centre for years and considerably motivated the respective entity to enhancing the already strong ties among allies and other partners engaged in military policing domain. The awarding part of the ceremony was also preceded by a special video message of the Centre’s initiator and at the same time former Director, Colonel Grzegorz WASIELEWSKI. Subsequently, a few extraordinary artistic performances staged by a series of soloists added splendour to the event. The 5th anniversary was also honoured by a successful appearance of the Representative Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Armed Forces.
The Centre as a military police-oriented hub, founded in order to deliver subject matter expertise focused on doctrine and concept development, education and training as well as
analysis and lessons learned is a Memorandum of Understanding-based organisation with Poland as the Framework Nation, and ten other Sponsoring Nations.
