In the morning, nine NATO MP COE representatives took part in a run on the occasion of the Polish Independence Day. The event was organised by the Joint Force Training Centre and was part of the Polish Independence Day celebrations. All participants were awarded commemorative medals.
Later, the Polish Independence Day was also honoured by a gathering of the NATO MP COE personnel. Director stressed that it is a very exceptional day for all Polish people as they commemorate the events of 11 November 1918, when the First World War ended, and Poland regained its sovereignty after 123 years.
On the occasion of that special day and in appreciation of the exemplary service and efforts of the COE staff dedicated to the Centre, the Director of the NATO MP COE, COL Mirosław ŁABĘCKI presented some of them with medals granted on the basis of the decision by the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Poland.
