The forum is to engage the CoI in CPERS issues, coordinate future activities and to collect BP and observations concerning CPERS and Prisoners of War (POW) from recent operations, and use this knowledge in future actions. The forum is organised in cooperation with 1st MP Brigade (British Army).

Open for:

  • MP/GTF CoI as well as stakeholders directly related to detention operations;
  • SMEs having practical experience in the field of CPERS, POW and detention operations.

Learning objectives:

  • Engage the CoI in relation to CPERS issues;
  • Provide participants with the legal framework in connection with CPERS, POW and detention operations;
  • Introduce experience and perspective of SMEs in the field of detention;
  • Provide the collection of LL from ongoing conflicts;
  • Present outcomes after exercises where detention operations were one of the training objectives;
  • Discuss and share BP in the field of detention operations;
  • Engage all stockholders in discussions on planning and conducting detention operations in a joint and multi-domain environment.
