NATO Military Police Senior Officer Course 2018

From 23 to 27 April 2018 the NATO MP COE held the third edition of the NATO Military Police Senior Officer Course (MP SrOC18). The goal of this event was to prepare the Military Police senior officers to working in a complex international environment with the main focus on the NATO MP perspective.

For the course, the Centre hosted 17 students from 14 countries and 13 external Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from 9 countries representing various entities, such as Allied Command Operations, Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Provost Marshal offices, EUROGENDFOR, Joint Force Training Centre, NATO Force Integration Unit and Warsaw University .
All topics presented during the course were chosen according to the identified training needs of MP senior officers, so that they contribute to the fulfilment of professional duties, responsibilities, as well as respond to challenges in a multinational environment.
The participants had a possibility to review their newly acquired skills during intensive syndicate work (the course was based on the scenario with specifically dedicated case study implemented during the planning block, media training and building integrity module). 
Compilation of vast experience and consolidated knowledge presented by all experts undoubtedly contributed to getting high recognition which was visible in students’ feedback. The evaluation process of the course portrayed that participants highly ranked the newly implemented topics like Enhanced Forward Presence, MP development on Ukrainian example, EUROGENDFOR characteristic, Military Police within Building Integrity as well as remaining lectures repeated after the second edition: Media Training, Cross-Cultural Awareness, Leadership and the Military Police within the NATO. The students claimed that MP SrOC18 was perceived as highly useful and they will recommend this education opportunity to other staff of their units.
